Barbara J Pickett is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) and has studied energetic healing for more than 25 years.
Barbara completed the Professional Herb Course at East West School of Planetary Herbology with Michael and Lesley Tierra. She enjoys growing her own native species plants and herbs which she uses to make teas, tinctures and herbal infusions for her personal use.
She has taken the Bach Flower Practitioner and Best Practices for Working with Pets Courses offered through the International Bach Centre. She incorporates Bach Flower Remedies into her daily life, believing the gentle healing offered by the flower essences is a wonderful way to remain in tune with one's personal world and the natural world around us.
She graduated from the Homeopathic Academy of Southern California with the Classical Homeopath Designation (CHom) and continued her homeopathic education through classes with notable homeopathic experts such as Alastair Gray, Farokh Master, Kim Elia, Gabrielle Traub, and Will Taylor. Barbara uses Homeopathy in her daily life for herself, her family and her animal companions with wonderful results.
She has had a life-long interest in Metaphysics, studying with the Rosicrucians for more than 30 years and has explored Shamanic Journeying through The Foundation for Shamanic Studies founded by Michael and Sandra Harner.
Her interest in Metaphysics led her to the University of Metaphysical Sciences (UMS), based in Northern California, where she completed her Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Divinity with emphasis in Metaphysics, and Doctor of Divinity with a focus on Spiritual Counseling. Barbara also received her Practitioner Designation and Reverend Status through UMS and the Wisdom of the Heart Church.
As a Reiki Practitioner, she achieved the Master Level in both Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki through Private Instruction and Holy Fire Reiki through the International Center for Reiki Training.
She has completed the Tuning Fork Therapy ® Practitioner Course with Debbie Nuccio Durrough.
Barbara holds a Bachelor Degree in Physics through California State University.
